Spring brings so much to photograph, and there is beauty at every turn. A friend and I took a trip to Richmond, Virginia to visit Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, and this view was among many beautiful views. The tree is quite imposing and appears to shelter the golden daffodils below. (Click on the photo to go to my online photo gallery.)

Weekend Art Marketplace
I cannot wait to see these in the garden as spring approaches. Their flitters and flutters and utter beauty keep me smiling all day. It won't be long, and I shall wait anxiously, yet patiently, to see the gentle shimmer of light on those graceful and resplendent wings.
I am participating in the Weekend Art Marketplace this weekend on Google+. If you use Google+, search on #weekendartmarketplace to see all the work that is being offered for this event.
Just for this event, I am offering a 15% discount on prints and cards. The event ends and the discount expires at midnight on March 10, 2013. Here is one of my newest pieces:

A Literary Garden
I just received my first copy of Greenwoman Magazine. It is a great read full of fiction, poetry, and essays with a nature and gardening theme.
Publisher, Sandra Knauf, describes it as a literary garden. It is all that and more. I am really enjoying the read.

A New Winter Photograph
With winter, there are new discoveries out in the field of nature. On a winter walk, I found this dried wildflower opening its petals. I thought it represented winter so much I am using it as the header for the season.
